Most areas used for the storage of carbon dioxide come under the requirements of The Confined Spaces Regulations 1997 and are therefore required to have a gas detection system.CellarSafe has been designed specifically with these areas in mind.

The CellarSafe CO2 Monitor has been designed for easy operation by the end user even by someone totally unfamiliar with gas protection equipment.

Both the main and repeater units have a single push-button to cancel the audible signal after a hazard has been detected. In standby detection mode, the same button triggers the alarm signals for periodic testing.

The system is mains powered, and can be installed with an optional battery back-up supply for uninterrupted protection in the event of a power failure.

	CellarSafe CO2 Monitor CellarSafe CO2 Monitor is for use in confined spaces such as pub cellars which, under The Confined Space Regulations 1997 most pub cellars are defined as, and is to protect staff and other personnel from entering into an area which may contain a dangerous build-up of aspyxiating gases. Due to the usually large amounts of CO2 gas cylinders and associated piping utilised in the distribution of beers and some soft drinks throughout the pub, a leak in any one can give rise to a potentially lethal build-up of gases which are completly odourless and invisible, because of this all pubs are now advised to install a CO2 detection unit. The detection unit itself is installed in the confined area (cellar) and a remote indication unit is fitted outside the room beside the entrance door where it is readily visible to anyone before they enter the area.
