While paper chars at 177°C, data carriers like CDs, floppies, tapes etc have a critical temperature of 52°C. To hold this low temperature in a fire, special Safes are required. You can either choose a standard Fire Safe with an additional Data Protection Insert or you can choose a dedicated Fire Data safe. See also our Overview.

Milleniun 4630 series

This fire data safe has the ability to exceed the worlds most rigorous fire safe test, the VDMA 24991 standard. The standard demands that, in a fire, the fire safe can resist the crushing pressures of a building collapsing upon it, as well as explosions in the form of superheated gases. The safe has to survive a fall from a height of 10 metres through burning floors and a fire temperature of 1100 degress C for 2 hours.
