Harmful if in contact with the skin or if swallowed. Will cause irritation of the eyes.


FIRST AID MEASURES

Contact with eyes:

Flush the eyes immediately with lots of water for at least 15 mins. Get immediate medical attention.

Contact with the skin:

Avoid skin contact. Wear appropriate gloves when handling this product. A pair of gloves of the following material is recommended: butyl rubber.

Inhalation:

If any signs/symptoms occur remove person into fresh air. If symptoms persist, get medical attention.

Ingestion:

Do not cause vomiting. Drink two glasses of water. Get medical attention.

Observe precautions as for other sections. Ventilate area. Contain spill. Collect spilled material. Clean up residue with water. Place in an approved container and seal.

Soak up with absorbent material and remove by best possible means. Clean up any residue with water.

Handling:

To avoid the possibility of any skin disorders, repeated or prolonged contact with this type of product must be avoided. Maintain a very high standard of personal hygiene. Wash hands thoroughly if in contact with this product.

On skin:

Moderate skin irritation; signs/symptoms can include redness, swelling, itching and dryness.

By inhalation:

Single exposure above recommended guidelines can cause:

Central nervous system, signs/symptoms can include aches, dizziness, drowsiness, incoordination, slowed reaction time, slurred speech, giddiness and unconsciousness.

Irritation (upper respiratory): signs/symptoms can include soreness of the nose and throat, coughing and sneezing, edema.

DISPOSAL CONSIDERATION

Observe precautions for other sections. Ventilate area. Contain spill. Collect spilled material. Clean up residue with water. Place in approved container and seal. Clean up residue with water.

Recommended disposal:

Discharge spent solutions in small quantities (less than 5 gal/19ltr.) to a wastewater treatment system. Incinerate in an industrial or commercial facility in the presence of a combustible material. Combustion products will include HF.

Alternatively: dispose of completely absorbed waste product in a facility permitted to accept chemical wastes.

Packaging:

Must be disposed of through an authorised waste contractor.
