Q. What is the difference between the Ei407 and the Ei401RC manual call points?
A. The Ei407 is powered by an internal 10 year life lithium battery without any wiring needed and is linked to other wireless smoke alarms of the Ei family, whilst the Ei401RC requires a mains power supply and uses a wired interconnection with mains powered alarms.
Q. Is it possible to buy replacement reset keys for a Ei407 manual call point.
A. Replacement reset keys are available from us (Part No EI407TK)
Q. What type of wireless Manual call point should be used with the Ei3100RF?
A. The wireless manual call point that can be used with the Ei3100RF is the Ei407.
Q. Where a call point is installed on every floor of a 4 storey house along with multiple smoke alarms, will all alarms go off regardless of which call point is used to raise the alarm?
A. Yes, once the alarms and call points have been house-coded they will all go off if one is triggered either by the use of a call point or if one alarm detects fire.
Q. Do the following items work together Ei407 callpoint, Ei3100 smoke and heat alarms, Ei410TRF wireless remote control switch?
A. Yes, all the products listed are compatible. After purchase they do need to be house coded together to ensure they work correctly.

works well but messy to set up
You have to install each unit fully as part of the radio linking process, if you have say 4 to install in different places around a sprawling building it gets a bit mesy

Good device to show the importance we attach to fire-safety.
A valuable device that placed prominently makes it obvious to users to hit the button at the first sign of a fire. The only issue is that placing it at the recommended height (for wheelchair users) the button is an easy target for curious children. Whilst it will work as a test device the EI410TRF is better for that purpose.

Did exactly what it says 'on the tin'. Straightforward installation and setup (I connected 2 x 3100s, 1 x 3105 and 2 x Ei407s with no difficulty. The operation of the activation button is a little tricky, however. It might not be immediately obvious (in the panic of a real fire) that the white plate has to drop down, revaling a yellow strip...
