Product Overview
Fires involving combustible metals can reach extreme temperatures of up to 4700°C. Standard extinguishing agents cannot cope with these kinds of temperatures so specialist powders were created to combat Class D (metal) fires. The specialist powder is applied directly to the fire via a low velocity nozzle and the powder melts, forming a glassy surface which prevents oxygen from fueling the fire while absorbing heat from the metal.
